Who is the teen fashionista?

Who is the teen fashionista?

I'm a twenty-one year-old aspiring fashion writer and I'm determined to make it big in the fashion world - hello, Anna Wintour! At the ripe age of 13 I began writing for Cynthia, the completely fab style guide at fashion.about.com. Although I had just entered my teen years, I had the responsibility of covering all aspects of teen fashion--and thrived! In those three years, I gained invaluable experience. Since my very first article, I just knew I wanted to go into fashion journalism.

In my young years of writing, I managed to grab some pretty amazing writing gigs. So far I've written for and been quoted in newspapers across the U.S, in addition to several internet columns. I am currently a journalism major at the University of Missouri and am counting down the days until I flee the Midwest for fabulous New York City.

Since April '04 when I attended the to the grand opening of the Fashion CenterDallas, an awesome apparel mecca in Dallas, I've had a newfound love for behind the scenes of the fashion world, too. There, I saw my very first fashion show, plus got to meet designer Richard Tyler, E! fashion correspondent Leon Hall, WWD (!) editor Edward Nardoza, and the sometimes-fashionista Jennifer Love Hewitt (she has her style ups and downs, but was so nice).

A trip to NYC for the spring 2006 Fashion Week only deepened my passion. It was, by far, the most memorable week of my entire existence. Because it was my first trip to New York, everything was completely foreign to me. My jaw was perpetually dropped the entire length of my trip, due to gorgeous runway shows, glitzy celebrities and socialites, unbeatable shopping, and the unmatchable energy of the city. I was there only five days, but it made a lasting impression.

Hi Folks,

Gald to came across your blog via http://senoracartera.blogspot.com/2007/07/tag-youre-it.html.

Albeit a small visit to your space viz.http://teenfashionista.blogspot.com/ but must say, it was a nice one. Really interesting space.

You would be glad to know that my blogs viz. http://www.styletalk.org/ and http://designerplanet.org/ are also a part of the link-sharing exercise organised by Daina from http://senoracartera.blogspot.com/.

Am wondering that if we can link exchange to enable blogs visibility at each other's space. Do let me know if you are interested so that i can do the needful.

Cheers
Zola

Hi J-School Gal.
As a fellow fashionista living life in the Show-Me state, I just wanted to give you a head's up on some ladies you should meet. Check out www.andspeakingofpink.com.

This spring if you have the chance come visit STL for our fashion week. It is no NY, LA or Dallas, but the closest thing you can find in the MO.

Good luck!

Hey fellow fashionista!

I would just like to say I love your blog! And I am an aspiring fashion journalist as well. I just started my blog a month ago...and I don't have a lot of writing experience. Any tips on building my blog fan base, and expanding my writing portfolio?

Hi! Cool blog!

Would you be interested in receiving a free handknit hat in exchange for featuring it on your blog? Your pics are great and your readership is who I'm trying to reach - young high school and college age women. Thanks for considering... pics of the hats I have can be found here: www.lynnekl.etsy.com.
