The Last of the Globes
So you missed the Globes and still need a fix?
My favorite fashion critic, MSN's Kat Giantis, has released Undressed Golden Globe Edition.
On Mariah's appalling sausage-of-a black dress: "If, after you've shoehorned yourself into a second-skin gown, you discover that your profile looks more than a little like a question mark, it's time to cut yourself out of your constricting couture and head back to the closet."
On Scarlett's boringly revealing red Valentino: "The pneumatic starlet's exhausted assets should stage a cleavage coup and start demanding a portion of her paycheck, 'cause lately they seem to be doing much of the heavy lifting "
Plus, the USA Today reporters were all over the red carpet, evasdropping and interviewing their way through the awards show. Here are some of the delicious bits they heard/saw/asked.
• "At the Warner Brothers/In Style party, Mary-Kate Olsen revealed she has accepted her first acting gig since leaving New York University, playing a small role in the film Factory Girl, about a beautiful and wealthy party girl who drops out of Harvard. "It feels great to be acting again," she said."
• "Reese Witherspoon, waiting for husband Ryan Phillippe outside the bathroom, talked about who she called after her win. “I called my mother, but my daughter is home asleep.” Witherspoon looked at her award and said, “She (daughter Ava) will probably want to play with this,” gesturing toward her trophy."
• "Crash’s Matt Dillon, wearing Christian Dior, talked about what he had to do to prepare for the evening. "I had to scruff up the bottoms of my shoes because I’m used to rubber soles, and I didn’t want to slide around. I don’t want to do an unintentional moonwalk." Who was he looking forward to seeing? "I want to see my brother," referring to Entourage star Kevin Dillon."
