On Your Marc, Get Set...

If I could wear one designer for the rest of my life, it would undoubtedly be Marc Jacobs. I'm fully aware that he is to Martin Margiela what ballerina flats are to strappy, spiky platforms, but I could wear his whimsical clothes, accessories, and little shimmery baubles day and night, and I like to think his signature ruffles, embellishments, and colors will be even better when I'm 80.

Seeing that I'll soon be graduating into an industry with zero job openings, I certainly can't wear Marc Jacobs Collection, and even Marc by Marc Jacobs is a departure from my student bank account. But his latest foray, "Don't Miss The Marc," available at price points under $200? Still not a walk in the Gap, but definitely more my style... and my salary.

I'm already plotting out purchasing the leopard leggings, which would be a perfect contrast to my floral, stripe, and polka-dotted closet. And the Miss Marc Ts? Adorable layered under a preppy argyle cardigan. And this opens so many new possibilities for "designer denim." Mark your calendar for August 1, when the line will become available at boutiques and Bloomingdales.
